“Emirates ID” Inaugurates Headquarters at Khalifa City with Daily Capacity of 800 Customers

The new center contains 20 service lines based on the finest quality and efficiency standards

Emirates Identity Authority announces the inauguration of its new customer service center at Khalifa City, Abu Dhabi. The center is annexed to its main headquarters. The inauguration came after the completion of all installations and arrangements essential for receiving customers and offering them the best services.

The authority called its customers in Khalifa city and neighboring areas to visit the new center, which offers its services according to the finest quality and efficiency standards and the Emirates Government Service Excellence program, as it encompasses added-value service facilities like a prayer room, free of charge Wi-Fi services, convenient waiting rooms, along with parking spaces, and other facilities and services aiming at ensuring the highest levels of comfort for the customers.

Nasser Al Abdouli Director of Service Centers Support in Emirates Identity Authority, stated that Khalifa city customer service center, which is located in the first floor of Al Qubba that is annexed to the authority’s headquarters, includes 18 service lines with a daily capacity of 800 customers, and offers its services from 7:30 till 2:30 pm over the official working days extending from Sunday to Thursday. He added that the center offers its services to all groups according to its urgent service system which entails paying extra charges of 150 AED in addition to the fees of the needed service; it also offers the Emirati and GCC nationals along with those under their own sponsorship; like house servants and those under their guardianship, all the services pertaining to ID card including registration, taking fingerprints and photos, issuing a new ID card or a substitute for lost\damaged ones, and upgrading the data in addition to other services; while the services offered for the residents are only limited to issuance of new ID card or a substitute for  lost\damaged ones, and upgrading the data. Al Abouli also pointed out that the building is distinguished with its sustainable-compatible design, in terms of green environmentally-friendly buildings. It also depends on the smart use of electricity, water and other resources. The exterior design of the building, Al Abdouli stressed, is in harmony with the concept and the logo of the Authority, while the interior design is based on the culture and heritage of Emirates, with a modern trendy touch and adornment, reflecting the level of development the country witnesses, and contributing in the same time to boosting the occupational efficiency and ensuring the comfort of the customers.

Al Abdouli also maintained that the new Khalifa City center is the second headquarters for serving the customers in Abu Dhabi and its suburbs, as it is the second after Al Wahda Center, located in Abu Dhabi next to Al Wahda Sports club, and that which offers the same services from 7 am till 8:30 pm, and contains 12 service lines, with a capacity of 1200 customers daily.

He also pointed that EIDA offers the customers, besides its customer service centers, multiple channels through which they can complete the registration in the population register system and obtain ID services; they also can renew the ID card or issue a substitute for  lost\damaged ones, and fill out applications via the website of the authority and via its smart phone application; which offers the services of renewing the ID card for the Emirati and GCC nationals, tracking the progress of their submitted application, user file allocations, submitting suggestions and complaints, getting notifications and finding locations of the Authority’ customer service center and its authorized typing centers for all citizens. It is noteworthy that EIDA has over than 1400 authorized typing centers across the country.

Al Abdouli called all customers to communicate with the authority when needed through its contact channels, whether via the customer service number (600530003) which is available 24/7, or via the authority’s social media Facebook and Twitter accounts, or via “live Chat” service available at EIDA’s website, in addition to the customer service centers across the emirates of the country.

Moreover, Al Abdouli affirmed that all customers and citizens can obtain the addresses of the service centers and offices across the country, and phone numbers and GPS maps via the website (www.id.gov.ae) by clicking on the link (Emirates ID Centers) on the homepage.

By opening the Khalifa City center, the EIDA customer service centers across the country now reached 52 centers, with a capacity of 20000 daily transactions in the domain of registration, of which 29 are customer service centers and 23 are centers annexed to Preventive Medicine Centers.
