The Emirates Identity Authority’s employees started donating blood for thalassemia patients in response to the call of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may Allah save him, which he launched last week.
The blood donation campaign began today at the Emirates Identity Authority head office in Abu Dhabi and the Musaffah Registration Center, while the employees of the registration centers affiliated to the Emirates Identity Authority across the UAE would start donating blood gradually over the coming days in their worksites in co-ordination with the concerned authorities in each emirate.
This step came as part of the Emirates Identity Authority’s keenness on participating in such humanitarian, social and national initiatives, which reflect the nobleness, cohesion and compassionof the UAE society, both as leadership and people, with the aim of supporting the blood transfusion programs in the UAE and supplying blood to the UAE hospitals, particularly for the children suffering from thalassemia who need blood transfusion on a constant basis.
