Emirates ID discusses prospects of co-operation and exchange of expertise with Libyan organizations

A delegation from the Emirates Identity Authority discussed prospects of mutual co-operation and exchange of expertise with the Libyan competent entities and organizations in the field of electronic ID cards and population register systems as part of the Emirates Identity Authority’s participation in the visit of the UAE official delegation to Libya the day before yesterday. The delegation was headed by H.E. Dr. Anwar Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.

The Emirates Identity Authority’s participation within the UAE official delegation, which consisted of 150 representatives from all service and economic sectors in the UAE, was aimed at enhancing co-operation between the two countries and optimizing the use of UAE expertise, particularly during the transitional period that Libya is passing through in all fields.

During the two-day meetings held in the Libyan capital Tripoli, the Emirates Identity Authority’s delegation was headed by H.E. Mohamed Al Mazrouei, Executive Director of Population Register, and H.E. Hatem Al Hamli, Executive Director of Financial Affairs.

The Emirates Identity Authority talked about its strategy, experience and most outstanding projects and initiatives before the Libyan concerned entities. It also reaffirmed the robust relations between the two brotherly countries and underlined the necessity for boosting these relations in all fields in line with the common interests.
