The Emirates ID Authority’s men’s and women’s shooting teams qualified for semifinals of the National Day Shooting Championship 2016 which marks the 45th National Day.
The championship is held at Caracal Shooting Club Arena in the Armed Forces Officers Club under supervision of Abu Dhabi Sports Council. In the championship expected to end on this November 28, the Authority’s men’s and women’s teams fought their way through the early stages in 10-m shooting competitions.
The Authority’s women’s team secured first place among the semifinalists in 15-m shooting competitions. The semifinals will kick off on next Monday and Wednesday. Mariam Al Balushi, Executive Secretary of Central Operations Sector at the Emirates ID Authority, won best shooter in women’s 10 meter competitions.
The Emirates ID Authority teams competed against 28 teams from several governmental departments and institutions as a part of the Emirates ID Authority’s keenness to participate in national, social and sports events held by the governmental departments at the state level and let employees engage in cultural, social and sports activities held on this occasion.
