EIDA celebrates with state-run institutions, Emirati people the 45th national day

The Emirates ID Authority celebrated with the state institutions and Emirati people the Commemoration Day and the 45th National Day. The Authority hosted several events at its headquarters in Khalifa City, Abu Dhabi and at all customer service centers across the UAE.

The Emirates ID Authority flied the flag half-mast at its all buildings on Wednesday morning. Then, the employees gathered at the headquarters and service centers at 11:30, observing a moment of silence for martyrs and praying to Allah to forgive them and grant them the highest positions in heaven. Then, the flag was hoisted again with the national anthem in the background.

After raising the flag, HE Dr. Saeed Abdulla bin Mutlaq Al Ghafli delivered a speech in presence of all members of the Emirates ID Authority main administration and Khalifa City Customer Service Center after the Commemoration Day event. In his speech, Dr. Al Ghafli urged all the Emirates ID Authority staff members to follow the lead of the martyrs in giving and keenness to defend their country and protect their gains each in their respective positions according to their respective roles and responsibilities. Martyrs have made unmatched sacrifice, giving their blood and souls to defend their homeland against powers of evil, said Dr. Al Ghafli. They should be remembered for what they have done as they managed to immortalize their names and rested in peace, he said.

The martyrs of duty made great sacrifices to defend their territories and keep their flag flying high in spite of all intrigues, said Dr. Al Ghafli. We should be proud of them, remember what they have done, and try to pay them back a bit of their great sacrifices following the example of our visionary leadership who paid the due attention to their families and children, he said.

Every citizen or resident of the UAE should appreciate the great deeds of our martyrs who made glorious and heroic history for their country, he said. With their blood, they draw the way to patriotism and loyalty to the country leaders, he said. Their sacrifice will inspire the generations to come and introduce them to the true sense of chivalry, honor and dignity and will motivate others to give more and build their country, said the director general.
Everyone in this country is proud of the martyrs` families who set the best example of faith, patriotism and loyalty to this country, offering their sons in battlefield and stressing that they are willing to sacrifice their life and their children for their country.
After the Commemoration Day event, the Emirates ID Authority celebrated the National Day with pitching an Arabian tent, serving popular dishes and exchange of greetings with employees and customers who visited customer service centers in this occasion.

In this context, Dr. Al Ghafli emphasized that the celebration of the 45th national day indicates the good journey and collection of achievements made at all levels to put the UAE among the developed countries, granting the UAE one of the happiest people in the world.

The 45th national day is a point of joy and pride in a glorious history during which this young nation has made extraordinary achievements and managed to be ahead of other countries that were created hundreds of years ago, said the director general. This proves that the age of a nation is not measured by years, he said. Rather, it is measured by the nation’s contribution and services to humanity and the impact it left on the people life.

On this occasion, Dr. Al Ghafli sent the best greetings to HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Their Highnesses members of the UAE Federal Supreme Council. He promised to work heart and soul to make the Emirates ID Authority a real contributor to the development of the nation and a main driving force to achieve the UAE Vision 2021 in order to make our country one of the best countries in the world by its golden jubilee.
Dr. Al Ghafli remembered with respect the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, father of this country, and his co-founders who gave their whole life for this country and union, praying to Allah to count this in their favor and send them directly to heaven.
