The Ministries of Interior, Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Health and Community Protection, Human Resources and Emiratisation and Emirates Identity Authority (EIDA) declared taking the practical actions to carry out the residency challenge represented in reducing the time required to issue and receive the residency visa by 50%.
Prof. Sae’d Abdullah bin Mutlaq Al Ghafli, Director General of EIDA said that the electronic linking implemented by the EIDA with the Ministry of Interior regarding registration in the Population Register and Identity card system, contributed significantly to reduce the time required to fulfill the residence visa procedures for those coming to work in Ajman Emirate; Prof. Al Ghafli pointed out that the linking, which is the first phase of an ambitious project to be later applied all over the Nationality and Residence Departments in the state, enables the Nationality and Residence Departments to obtain the customer’s data in a timely, accurate and safe manner after fingerprinting in the Happiness station at the Department of Preventive Medicine in the Emirate, and in the same day of applying for obtaining the ID card by customer.
Prof. Al Ghafli stressed, in the report published in newspaper this morning, that EIDA is keen to cooperate with all the initiatives implemented by the local and federal state institutions to simplify the procedures, develop the quality of services provided to the customers and support its endeavors aimed at upgrading such services to the highest levels; the matter which will insure obtaining such services, accelerating the procedures and reducing the time required to complete them in creative and innovative
methods, according to the highest standards of efficiency, quality and effectiveness, in line with the visions of wise leadership of the state and its wise guidance, which seeks to make UAE one of the best and most advanced countries in the world and make its people the happiest in the world.
Prof. Al Ghafli said that EIDA is involved actively in several work teams seeking to develop the projects included in the Accelerators package and dedicates its systems, particularly the Population Register System, to enable such teams to achieve their objectives and reach their goals in respect of providing services that exceed the customers’ expectations and contribute to place UAE at the top of the most developed countries list on the level of providing services to its nationals and everyone who living on its land.
Prof. Al Ghafli pointed out that such project comes within the framework of the government accelerators projects package launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai in November last year, to accelerate change, increase the efficiency of government implementation and strengthen the partnership with private sector, the matter which contributes to serving society and make people happy.
