Dr. Eng. Ali Al Khouri stresses the Importance of Teamwork

Dr. Eng. Ali Al Khouri, the Acting General Director of the Emirates Identity Authority (Emirates ID), stressed the importance of teamwork, giving priority to the public interest, necessity of carrying out a more effective role by center directors, each at his/her area, and coordination with the different authorities to register its employees as soon as possible.

During his meeting held with center directors at the general department building last Monday, Dr. Ali Al Khouri highlighted the necessity of carrying out a more effective role by center directors by providing proposals that contribute to developing work and improving performance. He pointed out that such step is the responsibility of all employees; their essential duty towards the Emirates ID; and the role they have to play in order to enable Emirates ID to achieve its mission, vision and goals.

Emirates ID’s Acting General Director directed the registration centers’ management to hold regular meetings with all center directors, at least once every two weeks, in order to identify the obstacles hindering work progress and discuss the ways of dealing with and solving them in a manner that serves the public interest. He referred to the importance and role of these meetings in discussing the new works as an official way of communication.

The meeting addressed some of the main attitudes related to the strategy of population registration which has been reviewed by Emirates ID recently. This strategy aims at restructuring the procedures applied at Emirates ID’s registration centers and discussing a number of recommendations and ideas concerning the introduction of new mechanisms that can contribute to the increase of daily registration rates.

On the other hand, Dr. Eng. Ali Al Khouri emphasized that center managers must support the distinguished initiatives introduced by their employees and adopt their innovative ideas as this will contribute to creating excellent work environment. He stressed the necessity of upgrading customer service employees, facilitating their procedures and solving their problems using the best modern available ways.

The meeting was attended by the Chief Financial Officer and the Director of Dubai and Northern Emirates Sector.
