During his inspection tour of reception centers of “residency violators”

HE Brigadier Saeed Rakan Al-Rashidi, Acting Director-General of Foreigners Affairs and Ports at Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, directed to prepare additional tents in the Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah centers, that were established by ICA to receive violators of Foreigners’ Entry and Residency Law who wish to benefit from “Protect Yourself by Changing Your Status”, Which began on August 1, 2018, and will last until October 31, due to the great attendance of violators who wish to change their status.

This came during the inspection tour conducted by Brigadier Al Rashidi and included Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, and Um Al Quwain centers, where he inspected the work progress of each center, inspected the facilities and fittings for the reception of residency violators. He met a number of customers and listened to their opinions about the services provided. The customers praised the smoothness and flexibility of procedures and efforts of ICA’s employees who are responsible to receive them and complete their transactions, guide them, and answer their questions. They expressed their deep thanks to the UAE for giving them this golden opportunity to enable them to live legally on their good homeland and benefit from the services provided.

Brigadier Al Rashidi confirmed during the tour, accompanied by Col. Mattar Kharbash, Director of E-Services Department in ICA, Lieutenant Col. Abdullah Al-Nuaimi, and Lieutenant Col. Ahmed Al-Dalal from the General Directorate of Foreigners Affairs and Ports, that the number of visitors to the nine centers established by ICA to receive the residency violators is increasing significantly due to the great success achieved by the initiative in changing the status of violators of Foreigners’ Entry and Residency Law in the state. The transactions of customers are carried out easily, while they receive exemptions from the fines and legal consequences that were incurred as a result of the violation, or to complete the procedures of those wishing to leave the country with dignity to their countries without any impediments, consequences or ban.

He also praised the efforts of all concerned partners to implement “Protect Yourself By Changing Your Status”, who contributed to supporting the efforts of ICA for the success of this initiative and to overcome all obstacles to achieve the initial objectives. He also thanked the embassies and diplomatic missions certified by the State, that worked from the first day of launching the initiative by facilitating the procedures of their nationals of violators and expediting the completion of their transactions, which enabled them to benefit from the initiative aimed mainly at taking account of their circumstances, alleviating it and enabling them to change their status and live comfortably and benefit from the services provided by the state to all who live on its land.
