HE Brigadier Saeed Rakan Al Rashidi, Acting Director-General for Foreigners Affairs and Ports at the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, inspected the centers set up by ICA to receive violators of the Entry and Residency Law for foreigners who wish to benefit from “Protect Yourself By Changing Your Status” Initiative in Dubai, Ajman, and Sharjah.
Brigadier Al Rashidi praised during his tour the mechanisms of work in the centers, the readiness of the facilities and equipment to receive the great number of the violators of residency law, and the mechanism of the procedures to change their status, which is made easily and smoothly.
During the tour, he met the employees who receive the violators, guide them, and answer their questions. He expressed his appreciation for their efforts in finalizing the transactions of violators efficiently and professionally. He invited them to do their best to facilitate the quick completion of the procedures of violators and to ensure the provision of services to them, provide them with the best comfort levels, and treat them as guests, the matter which achieves the targeted positive results.
He invited all violators who have not yet changed their status to take advantage of the opportunity offered by the Initiative and to quickly visit the centers set by ICA for this purpose to benefit from the facilities included in the Initiative, stressing that the exemptions and advantages provided by the Initiative did not leave any excuse for any violator to continue in violating the Law and not to seek very seriously to benefit from it to change his status. He stressed that ICA will organize, after the end of the grace period, intensive inspection campaigns to prosecute violators of the Law of Entry and Residency of foreigners, and take the deterrent legal action against them.
He pointed out that the 9 centers established by ICA all over the state are issuing exit permits for violators, removing absconding circulars, and granting those wishing to stay temporary residency visa for 6 months. While the printing offices “TASHEEL” receives sponsors, who wish to renew the residency visas of their sponsored violators, as well as nationals of countries suffering from disasters or wars. He also invited sponsors and employers to quickly go to TASHEEL centers to take advantage of the Initiative to change the status of their sponsored violators.
