Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and Deputy Chairman of the Emirates Identity Authority His Highness Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan said: “December 2nd is a different day for UAE nationals and residents. On this day, the best federation was born and grew stronger and stronger after being embraced by all UAE people. On this day also, we renew our pledge with everlasting loyalty, as the UAE has reached the farthest point of glory.”
In his speech marking the UAE 40TH National Day, Sheikh Saif added: “States are normally established and unified to achieve certain objectives, some of which are utilitarian that help them to get stronger, and others are financial that help their economies to reach new milestones. Our federation, however, is different as it is first and foremost based on philanthropy, the purest theory that is doomed to stay forever.”
Sheikh Saif went on to say: “December 2nd was a good omen and a renewed pledge to carry on the building process. It is a challenge to achieve the dream of forefathers who passed away but their memories are still living with us, reminding us of all the strenuous efforts they exerted for the 7 emirates to gain such a great, widespread reputation.”
Sheikh Saif noted that: “December 2 is a regular date for more developments and milestones on the way led by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, may Allah protect him, who followed the same approach, thereby confirming that the sun of December 2nd was able to keep pace with the movement of history and development.”
“Sheikh Khalifa continued to consolidate and develop the accomplishments achieved during this blessed process and to add more achievements until we had piles of gains. He was supported by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may Allah save him, and their brethren Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, who were all determined to follow the same approach for our glorious country to maintain its integrity and be proud of its civilized and humanitarian achievements and its great people,” Sheikh Saif said.
Sheikh Saif concluded: “We seize this dear occasion to present the warmest greetings and blessings to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, may Allah protect him, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may Allah save him, Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, and His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, wishing to Allah to bring peace and prosperity to our country and our people.”
