H.E Sultan Bin Saeed Al Badi, Minister of Justice, has announced the completion of “Official and Obligatory E-mail for All entities and individuals in the State” project study. It is a project conducted by the executive team for the Rule of Law Index, one of the executive teams concerned with the Government Accelerators, chaired by the Ministry of Justice and its members include a group of federal and local entities including ICA.
His Excellency indicated that this E-mail will be used for serving judicial notices, with a view to accelerate the notification process and ensure its delivery to the litigant and concerned parties as quickly, accurately and timely as possible. It will also be adopted as an official and approved channel for communication between the State’s federal and local entities and authorities and all the State’s entities and individuals.
His Excellency further noted that the study will implement the project in phases, in terms of covering all the community groups. The obligatory and official e-mail will be created during the first phases of the project for all federal and local governmental entities, as well as all the companies and entities working in the State and all the public and private sector’s employees. Afterwards, it will be gradually extended to include all the community groups, excluding the elderly and the people of determination as well as those who cannot use the e-mail.
In addition, efforts of cooperation and coordination are currently exerted with ICA, the Telecommunication Regulatory Authority, and other concerned entities in the State on the local and federal levels. This aims at implementing the project, recognizing the most adequate and secured mechanisms for its implementation, conducting some detailed and in-depth studies that include all technical aspects and economic feasibility, as well as the adoption of the central government entity(s) that will be mandated to issue the official e-mail.
