The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security received this morning at the Authority’s headquarters in Khalifa City, Abu Dhabi, an official delegation from the Arab Republic of Egypt, headed by His Excellency Ambassador Amr Abbas, Assistant Minister of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs who was accompanied by His Excellency Minister Plenipotentiary Mohamed Mahmoud, Deputy Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the UAE, and Counselor Ali Majdy, member of the Technical Office of the Minister of Immigration within the framework of his official visit to the country.
The delegation was received by Major General Suhail Juma bin Kaltham Al Khaili, Director General of Identity and Passports; and they discussed the best practices and development projects implemented by the Authority in the field of identity and passports as well as aspects of common interest and ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in Identity affairs, Passports and other related activities.
During the visit, His Excellency Brigadier General Khalifa Matar Al-Qubaa Al-Hamiri, Executive Director of the Authority’s Customer Happiness Centers, explained the frameworks governing the operational processes and he introduced them to the nature of government services provided by the Authority through its electronic and smart channels, such as the issuing and renewing of passports and Emirates identity cards, and the processes related to the issuing of entry and residence permits as well as other services that the Authority provides and deals with according to quality and efficiency standards. In addition to visiting the Operations Center and the Khalifa Center for Customer Happiness in Abu Dhabi.
During the meeting, the Egyptian delegation emphasized the leadership of the UAE regionally and globally in providing Identity, Citizenship and Passport services, and its precedence in using modern technology in providing services related to the issuance and renewal of identity cards and passports in accordance with the highest international standards. The delegation also stressed the importance of the development projects implemented by the authority in this field, which lead to providing a distinguished and comfortable experience for customers.
