H.E Brigadier Saeed Rakan Al Rashidi, Acting Director-General of Foreigners Affairs and Ports at Federal Authority For Identity and Citizenship affirmed that ICA will not tolerate residency violators after the expiration of the grace period of the “Protect Yourself by Changing Your Status” initiative by the end of this November.
According to a press release published today by Al Khaleej newspaper, penalties prescribed by Law on Entry and Residency of Foreigners in the State regarding violators is including the sponsor who hires the violators, with a fine up to AED 50,000, and he warned the nationals, residents, and investors from hiring the violators, affirming that any person who hires any violator will expose himself to legal accountability.
Al Rashidi also requested landlords not to lease housing to violators who are legally accountable.
He warned the Law violators, who insist on indulging in Law violation and do not make use of this initiative, from exposing to deterring legal penalties and legal actions after the expiration of the grace period.
He invited the violators to seize the opportunity within the few remaining days and rapidly referring to centers determined by ICA for this purpose in order to make use of facilitations included in the initiative.
