A public opinion conducted by the Emirates ID Authority showed that 64.42% of its customers prefer to apply for issuance, renewal and replacement of the ID card through the e-form made available on the Emirates ID Authority website for this purpose.

In such survey on the Emirates ID Authority website, 14.69% of the respondents said they prefer to apply for ID card services via the approved printing offices. 13.39% said they prefer smart ID application on the mobile phones and tablets while 7.5% preferred to obtain services through customer service centers (Urgent service).

More than 5 thousand and six hundred thirty of website visitors responded to the monthly public opinion survey conducted by the Emirates ID Authority to measure the level of customer satisfaction with its services and procedures.

The Emirates ID Authority allows submitting applications for ID card-related services through four channels: 400 approved printing offices across the UAE, e-form on the authority’s website, smart application on mobiles and 12 major customer service centers working with Urgent Service only which requires additional fees of AED 150 per transaction.

Abdulaziz Al Maamari, Director of Government and Social Communication at the Emirates ID Authority, said completion of the e-form enables the customers to obtain all ID card related services directly and easily via ten steps. This would save time and effort and spare them the effort to visit the printing offices, saving AED 30 in fees per application.

The completion of the e-form through the smart ID application enables the customer to complete the service personally and easily from any place and at any time with less effort and without relying on the printing offices in addition to the indirect expenses such as transportation fees, document photocopy, use road, parking and other services as well as the operational cost incurred by the Emirates ID Authority.

Al Maamari called on the customers to review and verify the correctness and accuracy of all their data (including contacts)  and that of their supported family members upon printing the service application whether at the approved printing offices or via the e-form in order to avoid delay of the ID card as a result of wrong data. He called on them also to review the printed data on the card after receiving and verifying the correctness of the data, try the chip within 30 days from delivery thereof and immediately visit one of the customer service center of the Emirates ID Authority if they find an error in the data or a technical problem with the chip to correct the data or the error and issue a replacement for free.

The Emirates ID Authority is always keen to contact customers, identify their opinions and preferences, seize the opportunities available on the Internet and mobile phone technologies to identify their opinions on the Emirates ID Authority services and keep pace with the development in Information and Communication Technology, said Al Maamari. Such technology has a direct impact on customer preferences and this requires the entities to interact with this change and promote its potentials to offer advanced services to facilitate the life of the people and achieve their satisfaction.
