Attracted Thousands of Answers and offered Valuable Presents
28 participants from UAE nationals and residents won in the innovation competitions organized by ICA to celebrate the UAE Innovation Month 2019 through its social pages on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
These competitions, which focused on interacting with followers of ICA e-channels, attracted thousands of participants to compete over winning valuable presents in all competitions. Winners’ names were picked through an electronic poll.
Abdul Aziz Al Moameri, Manager of the Government Communication Department at ICA, said that launching Innovation Month competitions marks ICA’s keenness on interacting and communicating with the public through its channels and platforms. These competitions contribute to deepening the concept of innovation in the mind of the community members and encouraging its individuals to benefit from the provided electronic and smart services. He noted that these competitions are in line with the ICA strategy of government communication, which is a product of its strategic plan 2018-2021, focusing on its fourth goal on establishing the culture of innovation.
He further emphasized that ICA interaction with UAE innovation Month and organization of many exhibitions, competitions, events, and activities across its departments and centers all over the State, are consistent with the directives of the wise leadership on promoting innovation and establishing it as a culture and a lifestyle. In addition, ICA seeks to overcome routine government work and focus on innovation and creativity to achieve the government mission represented in “achieving people’s happiness”. He referred to the importance of encouraging the public, especially those who have innovative and unique ideas to recognize their potentials, which would achieve the desired development in all fields and contribute to making people’s lives easier and achieve their happiness.
Al Moameri stated that the competitions launched by ICA consisted of questions on innovation and its evolution in the State, as well as its importance as the main pillar for the development of the government work and the main asset for development and economic progress. In addition, the questions handled the means required for promoting innovation to become a regular activity practiced by individuals and institutions, promoting UAE status as an international innovation center. This came in the light of ICA pursuit to promote interaction with the public, create chances contributing to developing services that achieve the community aspirations by means suitable for their expectations, and giving them access to services at the time and place appropriate for their conditions and life.
ICA chose 28 winners from the participants in all competitions. It gave 8 winners prizes through Instagram, 4 winners through its official website, 8 winners for participants answering the questions on Twitter, and 8 winners through its page on Facebook.
