Terms and Conditions
- A fine of AED 50 per day is applied for staying in the UAE after the visa expires or is cancelled.

- Family members’ permits under the foreign worker’s sponsorship must be cancelled before his residence is cancelled, or placed on hold for a limited period with applicable fees.
- The service for cancelling a domestic worker’s residence is provided via MoHRE or the Domestic Work Bundle, including fee settlement, residence, and linked Emirates ID cancellation.
- The guarantee is provided when there is an approval for the sponsor’s status change to another employer and the sponsor meets the required salary and occupation conditions for all family members, and when the sponsor’s residence permit is valid or within the legal grace period after expiry, and the residence permits of the family members are valid for not less than three (3) months.
- Exceptional Cancellation: The request is accepted if it is based on exceptional circumstances such as the presence of disputes or in the event of the guarantor’s death.
- A 180‑day grace period is granted after the expiry or cancellation of the residence permit for Golden, Green, and Blue Residence holders and their family members, widows or divorced women of residents, students after completing their studies, and foreign‑passport holders who are relatives of UAE citizens.
- A 90‑day grace period is granted after the expiry or cancellation of the residence permit for skilled workers in levels 1–3 and property owners.
- A 60‑day grace period is granted after the expiry or cancellation of the residence permit for residence permits issued with a guarantor or host.
- A 30‑day grace period is granted after the expiry or cancellation of the residence permit for all other categories.
