The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs – Abu Dhabi held this morning the Government Innovation Forum on “Government Sustainability”, with the participation of several government and educational institutions from Abu Dhabi, as part of the activities of the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security on the occasion of the UAE Innovation Month “UAE Innovates 2023”.
Major General Saeed Belhas Al Shamsi, Executive Director of Residency and Foreigners Affairs – Abu Dhabi, several officials from the Directorate, including Brigadier General Youssef Ismail Khoury, Brigadier General Muhammad Saeed Al Hameli, and Brigadier Ahmed Mayouf Al Ameri, participated in the forum. The forum was also attended by representatives of Abu Dhabi Municipality, Traffic and Patrols Directorate in Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority, Tadweer Company, Zayed University, Higher Colleges of Technology, students of Hamdan Bin Zayed Schools and Happy Land International, in addition to the Authority’s employees in Abu Dhabi.
During the forum, representatives of the participating entities reviewed the most important modern innovations that contribute to facilitating life, and the smart applications and practices of the Abu Dhabi Police General Command in the field of traffic awareness, the use of drones in rescue operations by the Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority, and their positive impact on facilitating rescue operations.
