The Authority only shares Customer Information and other Personally Identifiable Information with other government entities which are authorized by the Authority.

Consent to Use Information
By using any Product and/or by affirmatively accepting the License Agreement or this Privacy Policy, each User consents to the collection and use of all information that the User provides to Authority , all information that is provided to Authority on behalf of that User, and all information that Authority collects based on that User’s use of the ID cards, including, without limitation, all Information and other Personally Identifiable Information.
Policies Regarding the Collection and disclosure of Information
The Authority collects personal information such as name, address, and email address, when user knowingly provides it to Authority . In addition, the Authority may collect other information provided by users such as address, date of birth and other personally identifiable information, when user set up an online account or order service online. The Authority Web servers automatically collect statistical information about users visit such as pages visited and which browsers are used to visit our site. None of this information is associated with user as an individual (see information about cookies).
Policies Regarding the Use and Disclosure of Information
Information Use and Sharing : The Authority may use and share the Customer Information and other Personally Identifiable Information that it collects among various departments within Authority and its subsidiaries that perform functions such as servicing User accounts, preparing reports and other user activities.

A cookie is a small data string our server writes to your hard drive. This data string contains user’s unique user ID for our Web site. This technology also allows Emirates Identity to customize user experiences when it visits the Authority Web site.

Biometric – Data Collection and Use
Type of Data Collected
We collect biometric data through facial/fingerprint recognition technology. This involves capturing a 2D facial/fingerprint images and, in certain cases for enhanced security, a 3D facial/fingerprint scans.
Purpose of Data Collection
The facial/fingerprint data collected is exclusively used for the purpose of verifying the identity of passengers before/after their arrival in the country. This verification process is an essential component of our app’s functionality, ensuring a secure and efficient immigration and customs process.
Method of Data Collection
The data is collected directly from the users through the app at the time of their registration and during the identity verification process. Users are required to provide consent for the collection and use of their biometric data, acknowledging their understanding of its purpose.
Use of Collected Data
The collected data is used in the following ways:
- To match the facial/fingerprint scan with the passport photograph provided by the user.
- To verify the identity of the user as part of the pre/post-arrival immigration process.
We do not use the facial/fingerprint data for any form of analysis, profiling, or purposes other than the stated identity verification.

We do not share the collected facial/fingerprint data with third parties for marketing, analysis, or any unrelated purposes. The data is only disclosed to immigration authorities as required for the facilitation of the pre/post-arrival immigration process and as mandated by law.

The stored data is protected with robust security measures to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. We detail the location of data storage, ensuring compliance with all applicable data protection laws and regulations.
Data Retention Policy
Facial/Fingerprint data is retained only for the period necessary to fulfill the stated purpose of identity verification related to the passenger’s travel. Post this period, the data is securely and irreversibly deleted from our systems.
User Rights and Control
Users have the right to access their personal data, request correction or deletion, and withdraw consent for data use. Our policy provides clear instructions on how users can exercise these rights.
