Wednesday 28 March 2012

The Umm Al Quwain Registration Center has organized a training course on prevention and public safety for its employees by putting center evacuation plans into practice in case of such emergencies as fires. The training course came as part of the Emirates Identity Authority’s keenness on raising the employees’ awareness and enhancing their ability to confront crises and emergencies.

The 5-day course, organized in co-operation with the Umm Al Quwain Civil Defence Department, discussed how to make an emergency plan for an organization, how to give first aid and how to fight fires. Live trainings on how to evacuate the center were also carried out for the employees and customers.

These awareness workshops come as part of an initiative titled “Prevention, safety, first aid and minor firefighting operations”, which was recently launched by the Services Section at the Emirates Identity Authority. The Emirates Identity Authority began to apply the initiative in all its affiliated registration centers.

First Warrant Officer Ayman Hassan Saif, First Warrant Officer Mubarak Juma Hareb and a number of non-commissioned officers and individuals from Umm Al Quwain Civil Defence Department gave educational lectures to the Emirates Identity Authority’s employees on the sidelines of the training course. They also gave an adequate explanation of how to take the necessary precautionary measures to avoid any errors or accidents that might lead to the eruption of fires.
