More than 100 imams and muezzins in Umm Al Quwain participated in a workshop, which was organized by the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments’ branch in the emirate in co-operation with Umm Al Quwain Registration Center, to throw the light on the importance of the population register system and ID card project in the long run and explain the registration procedures. The workshop is based on the keenness of the Department of Registration Centers on enhancing communication with the Emirates Identity Authority’s external partners.

Rashid Ali Al Nuaimi, Director of Umm Al Quwain Registration Center, explained to the participants in the workshop the Emirates Identity Authority’s role, mission and strategic objectives as well as the ID card registration procedures and the associated rules and conditions and how to inquire about an application in case of late delivery of the ID card.

Copies of the “Register Now” brochure, which was recently issued by the Emirates Identity Authority were distributed on the participants in the workshop, which was held in Al Rawda Mosque in Umm Al Quwain and attended by Mohammed Ibrahim Humaid, General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments’ branch manager in Umm Al Quwain, and Abdullah Ahmed Al Bulooshi, customer Service Administrator.
