Sharjah Municipality has announced that it will adopt the ID card as a condition for completing all its official transactions, effective from March.
The municipality clarified that its decision is based on work requirements. In advertisements published in a number of local newspapers today, the municipality pointed out that based on this decision, all transactions and services provided by all its departments and branches would require the ID card to be presented by customers.
It is noteworthy that over 150 local and federal ministries, authorities and organizations across the UAE have adopted the ID card in their transactions.
