Monday 23 April 2012

Sharjah Educational Zone management, Educational Operations Department, declared that the ID card is required for parents of candidate students with special needs to join public and private schools for the academic year 2012-2013.

In news published by Al Khaleej newspaper today, Sharjah Educational Zone stated that the Special Education Unit will start assessing candidate students on Tuesday 24 April until 28 June 2012. It stressed that parents of students are required to have their ID cards along with other documents including recent medical report describing condition of the child and level of eyesight and hearing, copy of passport, copy of the family book, a report from the center that the child previously visited and four ID photos of the child.

Sharjah Educational Zone’s initiative came as part of the ongoing governmental and organizational support of Emirates Identity Authority (EIDA) to complete the population register and ID card project where the majority of government institutions and agencies are using the ID card as an official and exclusive document for transactions.

EIDA has previously declared that the registration deadline for children from nationals and expatriates (below 15 years old) is 1 October 2012 in all the emirates of the state.
