WAM – His Highness Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and Deputy Chairman of the Emirates Identity Authority, has urged the staff of the Emirates Identity Authority to carry on as many development and contribution efforts as needed by this important and huge national project in line with the updated visions of His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of the Emirates Identity Authority.

This came during an announcement by the board of the Emirates Identity Authority that in implementation of the Chairman’s directives around 350 male and female employees had been promoted to the grades they deserve based on the employees’ performance indicators and as per the rules and regulation applicable in the Emirates Identity Authority.

Stressing the Emirates Identity Authority’s keenness on motivating employees to carry on their efforts for excellent performance and upgrade customer services, Sheikh Saif noted that over its process of development, the Emirates Identity Authority extremely benefited from the views and suggestions of the public, not to mention the constructive role played by the mass media in this connection.

Meanwhile, H.E. Dr. Eng. Ali Mohamed Al Khouri, Emirates ID Director General, considered these promotions to be an embodiment of the directives of the Emirates Identity Authority’s chairman and a fruit of the diligent follow-up by the deputy chairman of the employees’ living conditions. The promotions are also based on the keenness by Sheikh Mohammed and Sheikh Saif on providing all ingredients of decent life to citizens and creating the work environment that attract them.

Al Khouri pointed out that the drop of the job rotation rate at the Emirates Identity Authority to 7.69 per cent by the end of 2010 as compared with 12 per cent by the end of 2009 and 1.8 per cent in the first half of this year shows that the job satisfaction of the Emirates Identity Authority’s employees is noticeably on the rise.

The noticeable drop of the job rotation rate is evidence on the efficiency of the field visits that the Higher Management is keen to pay to all departments and registration centers across the UAE with the aim of listening to the employees’ comments and suggestions, exchanging views on how to develop work and encouraging them to be creative and innovative and provide the ideas that would develop work at the Emirates Identity Authority to the benefit of both customers and service providers alike.
