INTERPOL Praises the UAE Cooperation and Role in International Law Enforcement

Ronald K. Noble, the Secretary General of the International Criminal Police Organization (ICPO) – INTERPOL, praised the significant efforts exerted by the UAE in supporting international cooperation with INTERPOL and its member countries and in law enforcement on all levels. He underlined the huge standing and reputation enjoyed by the UAE on the regional and international level.

Noble also praised the role of the UAE in fighting organized criminal activities and its efforts to detect identity fraud operations, which are considered a major obstacle and direct threat to security and stability worldwide. This type of crimes is currently growing increasingly, which makes tracking and solving them the cornerstone in the security of communities.

Noble stressed during his speech today at the opening session of ID World Abu Dhabi 2012 summit the need for international cooperation among all individuals and communities so that INTERPOL can carry out its assigned role effectively. He indicated that today the world is facing many threats and security agencies worldwide are spending millions of dollars to achieve security and facilitate the mechanism of exchange of information among member countries.

Noble stressed that this type of security facilities and technologies require countries to reestablish their infrastructures and employ the momentums and expertise of qualified persons who are able to adjust to the fast changes occurring on the technological level and within framework of ID applications, visas and passports.
