The Women’s Shooting Team of the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) ranked third in the seventh edition of the 46th National Day Tournament of Shooting. This came at the finals of the competition which was held in the field of “Caracal Shooting Club” at the Armed Forces Officers Club.
Employee Mariam Al Balushi won the title of the best shooter in the tournament, who was characterized by a remarkable presence and strong competitiveness among the teams that reached the finals.
The Authority asserted that its participation in the tournament comes within the framework of its keenness to contribute to the various national, sports and social events organized by government departments and institutions at the state level and to involve its employees in various cultural, sports and social activities held on such occasion.
The tournament, which was held under the supervision of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, and organized by Remaya International Company LLC, in cooperation with Tawazun Holding and the Caracal Shooting Club, was launched two weeks ago, with the participation of teams representing many governmental institutions and bodies. This comes in order to enhance communication on sports level, support meetings and gatherings among employees of government institutions and commemorate the 46th National Day.
Abdullah Nasser Al-Jabari, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Remaya International Company LLC, and HE Dr. HE Dr. Saeed Abdullah bin Mutlaq Al Ghafli, Director General of the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, honored the winning teams of top three, in the presence of a large number of representatives of government institutions and national companies sponsoring the event.
The winning team of the Authority included Haifa Al Shammari, Heba Abbas, Fattim Al Kindi, Mariam Al Balushi, Munira Al Kathiri, Tayba Al Marzouki and Nabila Bin Hariz.
