The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security received this morning (Friday, September 16, 2022) at the Authority’s head office in Khalifa City, Abu Dhabi, a delegation from the brotherly Kingdom of Bahrain to learn about the Authority’s experiences in the field of population data management and mechanisms for proving personal identity for individuals, registration systems, issuance of Emirati identity cards and passports.
His Excellency Major General Suhail Jumaa Kaltham Al Khaili, Director General of Identity and Passports at the Authority, received His Excellency Dr. Zakaria Ahmed Al Khaja, Vice President of the Information and eGovernment Authority from the brotherly Kingdom of Bahrain, and his accompanying delegation. While welcoming them to the Authority, his Excellency stressed the depth of bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields. He praised the role played by the leaderships of the two brotherly countries in supporting and developing government services in all sectors in a way that enhances the region’s leadership regionally and internationally.
Al Khaili pointed out that the concepts of excellence in identity and passports affairs, and other activities of the Authority came in light of the diligent follow-up by the Authority’s leadership within the framework of the strategic directions of the visionary UAE government with the aim of enhancing the happiness of customers and highlighting the services provided in a proactive manner that meet the aspirations of society in an advanced and smart manner that fits into the current context, and is in line with national goals and the principles of the next fifty as pillars that embody the Authority’s work process within the stages of development and drawing a road map for formulating the future of services provided to society.
Furthermore, Brigadier Matar Kharbash Al-Saadi, Director of Information Technology Department at the Authority, reviewed a package of existing projects related to the fingerprint system, verification operations and data processing, in addition to highlighting the smart applications used to identify individuals, the interactive digital certification project, and looking at the identity card printing system.
The delegation was also acquainted with the nature of the customer’s journey and the mechanisms of the procedures for providing ID card services through a visit to the Khalifa Customer Happiness Center, where they were briefed by the director of the center about the mechanism of including fingerprints, the stages of providing services and reviewing the accompanying facilities to enhance the happiness of customers visiting the center.
