His Excellency Major General Saeed Rakan Al Rashidi, Acting Director General of Foreigners Affairs and Ports, at the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security in Abu Dhabi, met with a government delegation from the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to discuss best practices and issues of common interest regarding passport services, identification and various relevant issues.
During the meeting, the parties went through the mechanisms regulating the operational processes and the various government services provided by the Authority through its electronic and smart channels, such as the application journey for the issuance and renewal of passports and Emirates ID card, and activities related to the issuance of entry and residence permits, as well as the mechanisms for developing procedures related to the provision of a series of joint integrated services such as Mabrouk Ma Yak package for new born Emiratis, and golden residency services of various categories and types.
The Ethiopian delegation also visited Khalifa City Center for Customer Happiness in Abu Dhabi to learn about the system of providing services and the operational processes provided by the Authority’s centers with regard to registration, issuance, renewal and replacement of identity cards, in addition to the data update service and other exemplary services that are provided in accordance with quality and efficiency standards in light of the determinants of Emirates Program for Distinguished Government Service.
