Al Khouri said he is confident that the strategic partnerships that the Emirates Identity Authority intends to build with Khalifa University, Zayed University and Higher Colleges of Technology would enable it to deal successfully with the challenge it is facing in attracting enough nationals to fill the specialist technical, technological and consultative positions.

He reiterated the Emirates Identity Authority’s keenness on carrying on the self-development process of its employees, improving their skills, crystallizing their academic experiences and improving their practical tools through the comprehensive training plan that the Emirates Identity Authority’s HR Department started to implement. He stressed the necessity to take the steps necessary to measure the results of these courses and see how far they affect the performance of employees, develop their skills and upgrade their performance.

Al Khouri also called on executive directors, departmental directors, directors of registration centers and supervisors to constantly track performance at the different Emirates Identity Authority’s departments, centers and sections with the aim of identifying and consolidating the strength points, monitoring the challenges facing the general performance at the Emirates Identity Authority before intensifying efforts to devise radical solutions to them and making plans to ensure the implementation of these solutions in the best way possible.

Meanwhile, the Higher Management Committee listened to the presentation made by the consulting company on the system of developing the “ID Card Status” service through the Emirates Identity Authority’s website. This service comes as part of the Emirates Identity Authority’s diligent efforts to provide qualitative and excellent services to all customers.

The new system is distinguished for providing the service of tracking the “ID Card Status” service for the applicants who have completed registration in e-form in a transparent and more detailed manner. It is also distinguished for giving the information the applicants are interested in inquiring about as regards the current status, date, route, print and delivery of the transaction and other information of interest to customers.

The new system allows the employees of the Emirates Identity Authority’s contact center the opportunity to provide the service of tracking the customers’ “ID Card Status” through receiving their calls and giving adequate answers to their inquiries on the current status of their transactions.

The Higher Management Committee at the Emirates Identity Authority reiterated its call for all customers to abide by the dates they received through SMS for completing the registration process at the Emirates Identity Authority’s centers, based on its keenness on completing their registration in the ID card and population register.

The committee agreed to cancel 56,000 transactions, which belonged either to customers who did not abide by the second appointment set for them by the Emirates Identity Authority or who did not check with the typing offices for modifying their imprecise data given in the e-form when filled out in the typing offices.

Meanwhile, the Higher Management Committee was briefed on the current status of the 17,000 transactions that were returned to the typing offices in order for the respective applicants to correct imprecise data or add missing information.

Failing to come, they receive a reminder with a final grace period of 5 weeks to check with the typing offices; otherwise, their transactions will be cancelled.
