The Federal Committee for the Development of Land Ports in the UAE held its thirteenth meeting on Friday, 03 April 2026, at Khatm Al Shakla Border Crossing, chaired by His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Al Kuwaiti, Acting Director General of Ports at the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security, in the presence of His Excellency Ali Jassim Al Mazrouei, Undersecretary of the Presidential Court for Engineering and Technical Projects Sector, along with the esteemed members of the committee.
The meeting discussed a number of agenda items, foremost among them ways to develop the operational framework of land ports and enhance the efficiency of operational procedures, contributing to achieving the highest levels of smooth flow of passengers and vehicles. It also reviewed ongoing development initiatives and projects being implemented at these ports.
The meeting further addressed mechanisms to strengthen integration and coordination among relevant entities operating at land ports, supporting the Authority’s objectives of delivering advanced services in line with international best practices, and reinforcing the UAE’s position as a leading model in border management.
His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Al Kuwaiti emphasized the importance of continuing institutional performance development and adopting innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency, praising the efforts and ongoing cooperation of committee members in achieving the desired strategic objectives.
The meeting reflects the Authority’s commitment to monitoring the implementation of sustainable development plans and enhancing the readiness of land ports in line with the requirements of the next phase.
