The Executive Affairs Board of General Directorate of Nationality of the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship confirmed that the adoption of the electronic family book will contribute effectively to the development of the services provided by the Authority to citizens to the best international standards, as well as the development of the services of entities that rely on the family book in the completion of the transactions so that they can view the customer data electronically and easily.
This came during the fourth meeting of the Board in 2019, which was held at the main headquarters of the Authority and headed by Brigadier Suhail Jumaa Al Khaili, Acting Director-General of the Nationality.
The participants discussed the outcomes and outputs of ICA’s participation in the last cycle of the Mohammed bin Rashid Government Excellence Award, the evaluation reports of the ICA’s participation in the various categories of the Award, and the points of improvement and opportunities that the Authority can use to achieve the best results in its future participation.
The Board listened to a presentation by Brigadier Saeed Rashid Al Yamahi, Director of the Nationality Department in Fujairah, on marketing the smart services provided by the Authority through social media, and the possibility of benefiting from such platforms with a wide global reach in introducing ICA’s projects, initiatives and services, and the methods and means of obtaining them.
During the meeting, Lt. Col. Ahmed Issa Al Khaili, Deputy Director of the Department of Personal Status and Passports delivered a presentation on the role of the Central Monitoring and Follow Up Unit in the General Directorate of Nationality and its services to facilitate the work of the various regional departments through following up the requests for services provided by UAE citizens for obtaining and speeding up their delivery and solving any problems that may hinder the completion of transactions directly and immediately.
The Board also discussed the results of the Regional department’s Indicators for the first quarter of 2019 and the other matters on its agenda and took the appropriate decisions.
