Thursday 26 April 2012

The Emirates Identity Authority has presented a commemorative shield to His Highness Sheikh Haitham Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Head of the Ruler’s Office in Kalba City, Sharjah, on the sidelines of his inauguration of Sharjah Heritage Days 2012, which kicked off in Kalba on April 19 under the slogan “Inspired by Heritage.”

This was announced during Sheikh Haitham’s inspection tour of the Emirates Identity Authority’s stand in the Heritage Village, which will conclude tomorrow. The commemorative shield was presented to Sheikh Haitham by Hassan Al Adhab, First Registration Administrator at Al Fujairah Registration Center, who also gave Sheikh Haitham an explanation of the Emirates Identity Authority’s strategy, vision and objectives and familiarized him with the registration systems and the mechanism of issuing ID cards.

The Emirates Identity Authority’s participation in the Heritage Village came as part of its ongoing efforts to extend bridges of communication with the UAE people and familiarizing the public with its mission, objectives and values. Its participation was also based on its ongoing keenness on enhancing the values of national and social cohesion and co-operating with the other government entities, considering that a number of federal and local departments in the region participated in the Heritage Village.

Through its stand, the Emirates Identity Authority provided electronic services to the customers seeking to inquire about the status of their ID cards. It also demonstrated the mobile registration machine, explained the registration process and replied to the customers’ inquiries. Token gifts were also distributed on children and customers.
