Emirates ID participates in First Regional Conference on Arabic Content and Social Media

The Emirates Identity Authority attended First Regional Conference on Arabic Content and Social Media in Governments and Private Sectors, which kicked off at Al Bustan Rotana Hotel in Dubai yesterday as part of its ongoing efforts to upgrade its performance and services and develop its channels of communication with the public through the social networking sites with the aim of exploring the needs of customers and the challenges they face and ultimately fain their satisfaction.

The Emirates Identity Authority emphasized that its participation in these conferences comes as part of the government communication plans for 2012 on top of whose priorities the Emirates Identity Authority out the responsibility for carrying out a project for developing the channels of social communication with the public with the aim of keeping pace with the federal government’s vision 2021.

The conference, organized by the Pan Arab Web Awards Academy and Emirates eGovernment in partnership with the Arab League-affiliated Arab Administrative Development Organization, saw the launch of the official website of the Arab eGovernment in the presence of H.E. Marwan Charbel, Lebanese Interior and Municipalities Minister, Dr. Refat Al Fakhouri, Director General of the Arab Administrative Development Organization, and Salem Al Hosani, Deputy Director General of the Emirates eGovernment.

The new website represents an interactive platform for all Arab eGovernments as it contains news on technology and eGovernments.

The conference was also attended by representatives from Telecommunications Regulatory Authority and Telecommunication and Information Systems Fund in the UAE in addition to the members of the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) and officials from the various ministries and government authorities.
