Emirates ID is considering cooperation with Iraq

Darwish Al Zaraouni, General Manager of the Emirates Identity Authority (Emirates ID) discussed yesterday with a delegation from the Iraqi Ministry of Interior headed by Mahmoud Abdel Ghafour Mohamed, Manager of the Department for Implementing the National Card Project the ways of enhancing cooperation and exchanging expertise between the two countries.

Al Zaraouni welcomed the brother Iraqi delegation noting that such visits contributes to enhancing cooperation and provides the opportunity of benefiting from the experiences of e-transformation in the country, emphasizing the fact that Emirates ID is keen to utilize state-of-the-art and innovative technology in managing this promising national program in order to, efficiently, contribute to the development journey the country is witnessing.

He emphasized Emirates ID’s readiness to cooperate with the Iraqi brothers and provide them with the experiences it has collected from its successful experience in the the Population Register & Identity Card System as well as the mechanism of setting standards in consistency with international specifications.

The Consul praised the advanced technology implemented by the Emirates ID in the Population Register & Identity Card System and its characteristic features including advanced security and ease of registering nationals and residents.
