Emirates ID honors winners of Director General Award in 2011

The Emirates ID honored the winners of the Director General Award and the distinguished employees from its different departments and centers over the year 2011 in addition to the working groups who supervised a number of strategic projects and initiatives executed by the Emirates ID.

The honorees at the Emirates ID presented their win to His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to His Highness Sheikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser and Chairman of the Emirates ID, and to His Highness Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and Deputy Chairman of the Emirates ID.

H.E. Dr. Eng. Ali Mohamed Al Khouri, Emirates ID Director General, called upon the winners of the Director General Award and distinguished employees at Emirates ID to continue their journey of excellence, creativity and generosity so that they may contribute in serving and giving back to our dear nation and wise leaders.

In a speech he gave during an event organized yesterday by the Emirates ID at Al Raha Beach Hotel, Abu Dhabi, Al Khouri urged to extract lessons and morals from the unique speech addressed by H.H. Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of Emirates ID, to distinguished employees at the Minister of Interior earlier last year. His speech was considered a “live charter” embodying general principles of excellence and reflecting a spirit of creativity and innovation that each citizen should adopt in their performance.

He indicated that the Emirates ID’s journey towards excellence must continue. He stressed that there are no limits to excellence and no end to creative ideas. He stated that the aspiration of the Emirates ID to be the best service system across the state is a legitimate aspiration and all efforts must be coordinated to realize this ambition in the best possible way.

Al Khouri said that this well-deserved honoring to the distinguished employees at the Emirates ID is a gesture of appreciation from the Emirates ID towards its employees and assertion of the administrative thought adopted by the Emirates ID that rewards distinguished persons for their efforts and honors remarkable performance to motivate performers to continue to be creative and innovative.

Al Khouri expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Emirates ID staff as each one of them carried out their role effectively. He called upon employees who were not honored to double their efforts and continue hard work that should enable them to fulfill the winning requirements of the Director General Award over the coming years.

At the end of the event, Al Khouri handed the winners of the Director General Award and distinguished employees shields and appreciation certificates in addition to cash awards.
