The Emirates Identity Authority honored 25 employees from the government communication departments at official federal and local agencies who participated in a four-day Social Communication Specialists Session organized by the Emirates ID and concluded yesterday.
Mr. Ismail Fadlallah, Director for Dubai and North Emirates at Emirates ID, handed out certificates to the participants in addition to iPads. This move came as a translation of the comprehensive eTransformation plans adopted by Emirates ID as part on the federal government strategy and as support of the participants in their careers by focusing their attention on means of social communications.
The session, which kicked off last Sunday at Rocco Forte Abu Dhabi, focused on educating the participants on opportunities of benefitting from modern communications channels and employing social communication tools to serve the objectives of government institutions to enhance its services and fulfill customers’ needs. Emirates ID stressed that organizing this session comes as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance its performance and services and develop its communication channels with the public. It indicated that it started implementing an integrated plan to enhance its presence, effectiveness and interaction with society on social network sites with the aim to identify customer needs and the challenges they face and ultimately gain their satisfaction.
Emirates ID said that holding these sessions comes in context of the 2012 government communication plan as Emirates ID set as its top priority the responsibility for implementing the development of social interaction channels with the public as key method of communication with clients and ultimately achieving institutional excellence.
The session was attended by Dr. Aref Al Ajeel, Director of RAK International Centre for training and development and Mr. Adel Janjar, media affairs and communication expert.
The closing session was attended by Emirates ID representatives Mr. Abdul Aziz Al Maamari, Director of Public Relations and Marketing, Mr. Omar Al Maamari, Supervisor of Sharjah and North Emirates Registration Centers, Mariam El Awadi, Quality Administrator, Mr. Farooq Al Jabri, Marketing Administrator, and Amani Zeidan, Training and Development Specialist.
