H.E. Dr. Eng. Ali Mohamed Al Khouri, Emirates ID Director General, yesterday (Wednesday) received in his office Mr. David Dale, Director General of the London-based Investors in People International.
The two sides discussed future co-operation relations and the opportunities of contributing to developing human resources through a number of proposed training and development programs. They also discussed the opportunities available for exchanging expertise.
Al Khouri gave the visiting guest an introductory explanation of the Emirates Identity Authority’s strategic plan 2010-2013 and its close connection with the UAE federal government’s vision 2021and its objective of becoming one of the 5 best governments in the world.
Al Khouri clarified that the strategic plan places citizens on top of its priorities as evidenced in the Higher Management’s keenness on creating best atmospheres for attracting skilled nationals and working on developing them continually in addition to developing its internal services to gain the satisfaction of employees.
Underlining the role of skilled nationals and their contribution to achieving progress and prosperity for the UAE, Al Khouri pointed out that Emiratization rate in the Emirates Identity Authority rose to 99 per cent, while the job rotation rate dropped from 14 per cent in 2009 to 8 per cent in 2010 and less than 3 per cent in 2011, noting that these results helped achieve a remarkable rise in the job satisfaction rates.
Al Khouri noted the Emirates Identity Authority’s constant need for long-term investment in its human resources by developing the various skills of its employees, enabling it to keep pace with the operating needs of the modern technologies and advanced ICT applications.
During the inspection tour made by the visiting delegation to the Emirates Identity Authority’s head office, Al Khouri underscored the Higher Management’s keenness on providing convenient atmospheres for its employees in a healthy and attractive environment through its current site, which is more than 4 times bigger than the old one and features more spacious sections and designs that help the employees be creative and provide them with the psychological comfort that supports their excellence and innovation.
Meanwhile, Dale praised the Emirates Identity Authority’s advanced strategic thinking as well as its efforts for drafting the policies that would support continuous training and learning for all its employees with the aim of upgrading performance and developing the skills that help achieve the Emirates Identity Authority’s plans and ambitions for consolidating the concept of the learning organization.
It is noteworthy that the Investors In People International is a foundation that issues certificates of conformity with the international standards in the human resources investment field and is concerned with developing the performance of organizations and improving their results through developing their human resources.
