His Excellency Dr Engineer Ali Mohamed Al Khouri, Director General of the Emirates Identity Authority (Emirates ID), has stressed the need to comply with the information security policy set by the Information Security Management Committee of the Authority.

Talking to employees during a visit to Emirates ID’s Mussafah Registration Centre 1 and 2 in Abu Dhabi, Al Khouri urged them to adopt the information security policy as an institutional culture and commit to maintaining confidentiality and integrity of information.

Al Khouri said employees at Emirates ID registration centres across the UAE should especially focus on raising customer service standards and comply with the Customer Service Charter approved by the Council of Ministers.

The Director General also stressed the need to apply the standards of excellence in performance that have been explained through workshops and training courses organised by Emirates ID earlier for its employees across the UAE.

Al Khouri asked the employees to work as a team and deal with all customers professionally, irrespective of their colour, nationality or gender, as required by the religion and wise leadership of the UAE. The Emirates ID Higher Management is keen to provide an encouraging and motivating environment for employees in order to enhance productivity, performance and quality of services, he added.

“Emirates ID continues to apply modern management tools including updating job descriptions of employees and developing tools to assess performance in order to recognise exceptional service and promote excellence and innovation,” said Al Khouri.

Al Khouri also encouraged employees to continue their studies and become graduates, stressing that Emirates ID will provide all material and moral support for such pursuits.

“Such support is part of our new strategic plan, which seeks to play a prominent role in developing national human resources, and qualifying them to leadership roles in their jobs, within or outside Emirates ID,” added Al Khouri.

Al Khouri was accompanied by Mohammed Al-Harthy, Executive Director of the Registration Centres during his inspection tour. The Director General also met a number of customers at the centres and listened to their comments and suggestions on the level of services provided by Emirates ID.
