H.E. Dr. Eng. Ali Mohamed Al Khouri, Emirates ID Director General, yesterday received in his office Major General Khamis Saif Bin Suwaif, director general of Criminal Security at the Ministry of Interior.
The guest listened to Al Khouri’s explanation of the Emirates Identity Authority’s strategy and the most strategic projects emanating from it. The two sides also discussed aspects of mutual co-operation in a number of issues and topics related to the activation of ID card uses.
Meanwhile, Bin Suwaif praised the prominent role played by the Emirates Identity Authority in developing the population register system.
He referred to the Emirates Identity Authority’s success in implementing a number of significant strategic projects across the UAE and its continuous bid to carry out the other projects and initiatives stated in its strategy most efficiently.
Stressing the value of the ID card as well as its importance for protecting the individual identity of its owner and its contribution to enhancing the security and safety system in the UAE, Bin Suwaif commended the Emirates Identity Authority’s efforts and keenness to register all the population in the ID card as per the set plans for achieving this significant strategic objective.
