Crown Prince of Umm Al Quwain visits the “Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security” platform

His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Quwain paid a visit to the pavilion of the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security, participating in the Umm Al Quwain Tourism Forum. It coincides with the launch of the activities of the first forum Wednesday morning. The Forum was organized by the Department of Tourism and Antiquities in Umm Al Quwain, with the aim of promoting opportunities for strategic partnerships with hotel institutions and establishments and various entities supporting the tourism sector in the emirate to support the promotion of tourist attractions and heritage and tourism sites locally and internationally.
During his visit to the pavilion of the Authority, which was represented by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Umm Al Quwain, His Highness the Crown Prince of Umm Al Quwain was briefed on the facilities and procedures related to the developed system of tourist visas applied in the Authority, which benefit all establishments and different groups in the tourism, medical and educational sectors, as well as innovators and entrepreneurs.
His Highness also heard from Brigadier Khalid Youssef bin Hudaiba, Executive Director of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Umm Al Quwain, on the nature of the activities and operations provided by the Authority, reviewing the developed visa system that aims to raise the competitiveness of the tourism, medical and educational facilities in the emirate, and the extent of the system’s efficiency in enhancing the establishments’ commitment to comply with the standards, and regulations, in accordance with the rules of professional work.
The Authority’s participation came within the framework of its commitment to strengthening work with partners and achieving the objectives of the national agenda and the strategic directions of the Authority. During its participation, it explained the basic conditions and requirements, the mechanism for classifying tourist offices, and methods of paying financial guarantees, in addition to introducing the categories and establishments benefiting from the developed system for tourist visas, such as hotel establishments and tourist offices, national and international airlines, universities and postgraduate institutes, hospitals, health centers and specialized clinics, innovators and entrepreneurs.
His Excellency Brigadier Khalid Yousef bin Hudaiba, Executive Director of Residency and Foreign Affairs in Umm Al Quwain, said: “The Emirate of Umm Al Quwain has many historical and tourist attractions that attract tourists and those who want to relax and enjoy the picturesque nature, and the tourism sector in the emirate is one of the promising sectors that play an important role in supporting the economy of the emirate and of the UAE, and attracting capital, investors and international companies. Therefore, the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security is keen to support this sector by implementing an advanced visa system that facilitates procedures and costs for all establishments operating in this vital sector, in a way that helps further increase the flow of tourists to the emirate and the UAE.”
