H.H Darwish Al Zaraouni, General Manager of the Emirates Identity Authority (Emirates ID) discussed today with a Canadian delegation the ways of enhancing cooperation and exchanging experiences between the two countries.
Al Zaraouni expressed his pleasure for the visit which contributes to having a clear view of successful electronic transformation experiences in the country, stressing the fact that the Authority is keen to utilize state-of-the-art innovative technology in managing this promising national program in order to, efficiently and actively, participate in this journey of development as well as the economic and civilizational development the country is witnessing.
He noted that Emirates ID aims at providing the government of the country with a comprehensive and accurate record with the highest levels of security in order to help making strategic decisions, a matter which will participate in making the United Arab Emirates one of the developed countries on the regional and international level.
H.H General Manager of Authority accompanied the visiting delegation in a visit to a registration center where they reviewed the registration procedures implemented for issuing of the identity Card. They expressed impression with the advanced technology implemented by the Emirates ID in the Population Register & Identity Card System and its characteristic features including advanced security and ease of registering nationals and residents.
The meeting was attended by Mohamed Al Mazrouei, Executive Director of Population Register, Thamer Al Qasimi, Planning Director, Dhafer Al Qasimi, Director of Register for Residents, Reem Al Radi, Director of Register for Nationals and Abdul Aziz Al Maamari, Director of the Pubic Relations & Marketing Department at the Authority.
