A Senegalese delegation visits the “Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security”

An official delegation from the Republic of Senegal visited the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security, today, Thursday (March, 09, 2023), to discuss ways to strengthen the strategic partnership between the two friendly countries in various fields of work.
The delegation was received by Major General Saeed Salem Al Shamsi, Executive Director of Residency and Foreigners Affairs and a number of officials at the authority, while the Senegalese delegation included His Excellency Babacar Matar Ndiaye, Ambassador of the Republic of Senegal to the country, and a number of Senegalese officials.
During the visit, the Senegalese delegation discussed with the Authority’s officials ways to enhance cooperation in the field of Identity, Residency, Foreigner’s affairs, and issues of common interest related to the conditions of the Senegalese community in the UAE. The Senegalese delegation was briefed on the advanced smart services system provided by the Authority, especially the issuance of visas and electronic services, the operational processes for issuing visas, the facilities provided by the Authority to customers in this domain, and the channels for providing electronic and smart services.
On this occasion, His Excellency Major General Saeed Salem Al Shamsi praised the historical relations between the UAE and Senegal, pointing out that these relations are witnessing a great boom in the various axes of work and cooperation in light of the keenness of the wise leadership of the two countries to support the strategic partnership between the counterpart institutions in the two countries, and to move that partnership to Broader horizons that meet the aspirations of the people and enhance the capabilities of the two countries to face common challenges in the domains of identity and residency.
During the visit, the Senegalese delegation expressed its happiness with the level of cooperation between the Authority and the relevant institutions in Senegal, pointing out that the Authority provides a pioneering and innovative service system that the Republic of Senegal can benefit from in the development processes and fulfill the wishes of the Senegalese community in the UAE.
