Having a Baby

A number of obligations and services are expected of and provided to you when having a baby in the UAE. You are required to obtain a birth certificate for your baby from the Ministry of Health and get a passport issued from either the Ministry of the Interior or, if you are an expatriate, from your home embassy, before you submit your application for an Emirates ID card.
