Emirates Academy for Identity and Citizenship

The Emirates Academy for Identity and Citizenship (EAIC) was established in 2008 under the name “Emirates Institute for Citizenship, Residency, and Ports” within the organizational structure of the General Directorate of Citizenship, Residency, and Ports, affiliated with the Ministry of Interior. Its purpose was to provide specialized vocational training in the fields of citizenship, residency, and port security. In 2012, the academy became an institution of higher education and the diploma and bachelor’s programs it offered received preliminary accreditation in 2014.In 2018, the academy became part of the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship and was renamed the Emirates Academy for Identity and Citizenship. In 2023, the academy’s programs received accreditation from the British Qualifications Authority and the International Association for Intelligence Education – USA, one of the world’s leading professional bodies. The academy includes faculty members with both academic and practical expertise in identity, citizenship, residency, and national security affairs. The comprehensive programs offered by the academy help to enhance the educational levels and professional skills of the human resources within the authority and its strategic partners, contributing to the support of sustainable development and the enhancement of the UAE’s global competitiveness and leadership.

Introduction to the Conference

Artificial intelligence (AI) is one of the most significant outcomes of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, which has accelerated the pace of digital transformation. In light of the innovations and technologies related to AI, predictions, and analyses suggest that this tool or technology will have implications for the future of nations and peoples, as well as the development of societies and their national and digital identities in the coming decades. From this perspective, the importance of the scientific conference organized by the Emirates Academy for Identity and Citizenship stands out. This conference aims to envision the future of AI and its impact on national identity, with the participation of a select group of researchers, scientists, and students specializing in technology and AI. The conference will serve as a fertile ground for discussing the latest innovations and scientific research that contribute to enhancing the UAE’s digital identity and national values. Conference Committees

To ensure the success of this event, several specialized committees have been formed to organize the conference and enrich its scientific content. Below are details about the committees and their roles in the conference:

First: The Organizing Committee:

The Organizing Committee is responsible for coordinating and preparing for the conference, creating plans to ensure the events run smoothly and efficiently. The committee also coordinates with speakers, guests, and participants, and ensures the availability of all logistical needs necessary for the success of the conference.

Second: The Scientific Committee:

The Scientific Committee specializes in receiving and reviewing abstracts of papers submitted for the conference. It evaluates the papers and selects those most suitable to the conference theme, contributing to enhancing the quality of the scientific content presented.

Third: The Media Committee:

The Media Committee supervises and executes the conference’s media activities in collaboration with the Government Communication Department of the Authority and TRENDS Research & Advisory. The committee aims to highlight the conference activities and provide comprehensive coverage of events, thereby raising awareness about the importance of artificial intelligence and its role in various fields.

Conditions for Accepting Working Papers for Participation in the Conference
  • Submission of the paper in Word format in either Arabic or English.
  • The paper must not have been previously published or submitted for publication in other journals or conferences.
  • The paper must not be part of another research that has won an award or been submitted for an academic degree.
  • Adherence to scientific research standards and ethical integrity.
  • The paper abstract should be between 250 – 500 words and include (title, researcher’s name, email and phone number, affiliation, study objective, methodology, main findings, and recommendations).
  • The final scientific papers should be between 25 – 30 pages.
  • The papers will be published in the Emirates Scientific Journal (a peer-reviewed journal published by the Emirates Academy for Identity and Citizenship).
Important Dates

1.Submission of scientific paper abstracts begins on October 28, 2024.

2.The deadline for receiving scientific paper abstracts is November 10, 2024.

3.Participants will be notified of preliminary acceptance of scientific papers on November 15, 2024.

4.Final scientific papers are to be submitted by November 25, 2024.
