Ethiopian Official Delegation Visits ICP to Enhance Cooperation and Exchange Expertise

The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security received an official delegation from the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia over a three-day visit, from 19 to 22 January 2026, as part of the mutual keenness of the United Arab Emirates and Ethiopia to strengthen cooperation and exchange expertise in the fields of Advanced Passenger Information (API) technologies, related systems, and border security.
The delegation was received by H.E. Major General Saeed Salem Balhass Al Shamsi, Acting Director General of Identity and Foreigners Affairs, in the presence of H.E. Juma Abdullah Al Kaabi, Acting Executive Director of the Digital Transformation Sector, along with a number of senior officials from the Authority. The Ethiopian delegation was headed by Gossa Demise Haile, Deputy Director General of the Ethiopian Immigration and Citizenship Service, accompanied by several officials from relevant Ethiopian entities.
The visit included a series of field visits to review best practices and operational systems, notably the National Advance Information Center, Zayed International Airport, Khalifa Port, and the WAM Land Border Crossing, in the presence of senior officials from the Authority.
