Abu Dhabi National Oil Company “ADNOC Distribution” revealed that it will link its various electronic services in the distribution stations to the ID card issued by the Emirates ID Authority in the first quarter of 2017.
Saeed Mubarak Al Rashedi, Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Company, said, in a press release published by “Emarat Alyoum” Newspaper today, that all services provided by the Company’s stations will be available using the ID card, such as car fueling, oil change, car washing, and purchases from Oasis stores.
Al Rashedi explained that the company plans to open 24 new stations throughout the current year, pointing out that the total number of ADNOC Distribution stations will reach 340, 200 of which offer integrated smart services. Al Rashedi added that the rest of the stations will be transformed into smart stations during 2017.
It is worth mentioning that Abu Dhabi National Oil Company “ADNOC Distribution” launched, at the beginning of this year, the pilot phase of the application of smart self- service fuelling, “Smart ADNOC”, through which it allows its customers to pay for fuel in three ways, including the ID card that is linked and activated to the account of “ADNOC portfolio in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi”. ADNOC Distribution provided its customers with the smart self-service fuelling in four stations in Abu Dhabi Island.
