In celebration of the 50th Union Day of the country, an initiative has been taken to prepare and to distribute gifts to transiters at all land ports, with a total of 4100 gifts. about: A scarf, a pin, a medal… In the following land ports: (Al-Ghuwaifat port, Al-Darah port, Al-Shaklah port, Mezyad port, Mudhief port, Heli port)

The authority participates in the celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of the union, the plan included organizing the celebration at the Ras Al-Dara land port (in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah) in an atmosphere full of joy and celebration, enabling the employees of all the operating authorities at the port to immerse themselves in the Emirati culture and heritage the celebration started with:
– Folk art show
– Hospitality equipment + Al-Yawla military Squad.

Organizing a celebration of the fiftieth Union Day, the plan included organizing the celebration of the Khatm Al Shikla land port (in Al Ain) in an atmosphere full of joy, enabling the employees of all the operating authorities at the port to immerse themselves in Emirati culture and heritage

The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security organized the “Cycling Championship” in cooperation with Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority, as part of the country’s celebrations of the 50th Year.

His Excellency Brigadier General Khamis Al Kaabi, Executive Director of Support Services Affairs, honored Captain Lulwa Al Hammadi, for winning first place in the shooting championship organized by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security on the sidelines of the Authority’s celebrations of the 50th Union Day of the United Arab Emirates.

The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security organized an exhibition for “People of Determination” who are talented and creative, on the sidelines of the International Day of People of Determination.
Major General Saeed Rakan Al-Rashidi, Director General of Foreigners Affairs and Ports Department, was briefed on the creative and innovative works displayed in the exhibition, and he praised the participants’ talents and creativity.

The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security organized a celebration ceremony on the occasion of the 50th Year of the Union at its head office in Abu Dhabi. The ceremony reflected the feelings of solidarity and attachment of the people to their leadership, with pride and fortitude. It was attended by His Excellency Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, Acting Director General of the Authority and a number of its directors and employees.

Making an Exhibition of customs dogs in K9 building, documenting the show, filming it and publishing it on social media channels to enhance the role of K9 in supporting security and facilitating trade movement within the customs work.

Participation of 50 employees with Fujairah Adventures to raise the flag on the top of Fujairah Mountain with a height of 50 meters

Forming Human Flag in coordination with one of the schools in the country, while documenting the initiative with a short video that reflects the level of cohesion with the various sectors of the country

Decorating all land Ports in the country using decorations inspired by the visual identity of the 50th National Day of the UAE, including: Placing 208 UAE flags at all land ports. – Putting labels on all reception booths at land ports. In the following land ports: Al-Ghuwaifat port, Ras Al-Darah port, Al-Shaklah port, Mezyad port, Mudheif port, Heli port.

The initiative offers special and exclusive offers to employees of the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Port Security, and their families on tickets to various entertainment and tourism destinations in the UAE, including winter programs and activities to enjoy winter throughout the country.

– Establishing platforms to display pictures of the most prominent achievements of the country during the past fifty years, including the role of Sheikh Zayed and the rulers of the Emirates.
– Setting up booths for events, popular foods, and the Al-Yawla Militar squad

Fifty artistic paintings were drawn in the headquarters of the authority, demonstrating the history of the founding fathers

The Emirates ID Authority adopted this initiative to involve its employees in the development of libraries available in its centers. 

The Emirates ID Authority launched this initiative to encourage employees to present their creative ideas that they think they contribute to support the participation of the Authority in the Year of Reading initiative. The number of proposals submitted by the staff reached more than 50 

A decision was issued on 7 March 2016 to form a committee to communicate with publishing houses and cultural and scientific institutions, identify the topics to be suggested to employees for reading, set the criteria of the reading competition for staff and propose prizes for the same 

The initiative aimed at enabling the Emirates ID Authority’s staff, customers and website visitors to take advantage of the library’s contents and encouraging them to visit the library and download the books available. 

Through this initiative, the Emirates ID Authority addressed the cultural and media entities and institutions and research centers in the state to provide them with copies of its publications to be distributed to the centers’ libraries. Accordingly, 78 centers were sent 15 copies each. 

The Emirates ID Authority has started establishing reading corners in the lobbies of its headquarters through adding bookshelves in the available space next to the reading tables and seats 

 An electronic version of a set of valuable books that are beneficial to the employee in his career and personal life was provided and sent by e-mail to employees 

The initiative consists of sending letters by email encouraging employees to read and giving them awareness-raising suggestions to help them making reading part of their daily life by explaining the methods and rules of useful reading.

Facial recognition as an alternative to the ID card data reader: The authority launched the upgraded version of the digital authentication service for government and private institutions, with the aim of proving the identity of individuals by using the facial recognition feature.

The authority provides proactive services that are provided to the customer automatically, before the customer applies to them, and it targets the categories of citizens, residents, GCC citizens and companies.

Identity and Citizenship develops the electronic link system on the institutional service carrier (ESB)

Identity and Citizenship launches the “digital family record instead of the paper-based one” through the website or the smart application

“Identity and Citizenship” Academy launches the “Innovation and Future Foresight” diploma

Development of an integrated software package that handles ID card in several programming languages and that is compatible with different smart card readers, enabling government and private entities to handle the card and read its smart chip

The mobile NFC reader allows for reading the ID card’s smart chip data using all types of mobile phones or tablets within seconds. This helps reduce the time and effort required to enter data and complete transactions, avoiding all errors that may happen using the traditional data entry methods. 

The initiative included videos for the entities participating in the Emirates ID Authority’s events on the occasion of the UAE Innovation Week uploaded to the Authority’s YouTube channel and promotion of the same on social networking pages, including Al Hilal Bank and Mashreq Bank initiatives of using the ID card as ATM car 

The Emirates ID Authority organized at its headquarters an innovation week during which it presented its latest smart e-services and projects and its role as one of the government entities that contribute to the support of the knowledge-based society and the process of national development through its ID card-based services.

The Emirates ID Authority launched its creativity and innovation strategy 2014 – 2016 in all the customer service centers affiliated thereto through the organization of workshops for employees to explain the strategy and its objectives, initiatives and programs.
